I've Learned
by
Steve Mount

I've learned a lot from this girl.
This beautiful, wonderful girl.
From her I've learned modesty.
I've learned humility.
I've learned to think for myself.
I've learned not to let other people get to me.
I've learned jealousy.
I've learned guilt.
I've learned to be silent.
I've learned to be heard.
I've learned to take control.
I've learned to see the good in people, despite their appearance.
I've learned not to indulge.
I've learned how to wait.
I've learned how to be patient.
I've learned how to forgive.
But most importantly, I've learned to love.
If we never saw each other again,
I would not regret any of our time.
I know that all she's taught me has made me a better person.
All I've learned, I am grateful for knowing,
And I thank her.
Be proud.
Look how I've turned out.
I've learned.
